Hey! Don't need to bother. I figured out how to finish the game.
In order to get the gum door to open, if I remember correctly, you have to press the down button in the power room when you're standing over the smashed robot. (He specializes in making explosives, folks--NOT back shaving!!) LOL!
Thanks folks for looking around and trying to find the answer for me. In return, I want to give you a more than helpful tip--well two actually. No, maybe just a handful....
1. There are THREE endings for the game--and the endings end the way they do depending on how you respond to different things in the game....
2. To have a happy ending, remember this......When you meet the professor in the Labrynth, say to yourself, "It's what you do with what you got that COUNTS!" Also, please remember this as well.....When "robogirl" examines the "dead" robot, DON'T talk to her quite yet! Explore the room--you should find something valuable in relation to your buddy. (That is, IF you did what you should concerning the professor--CORRECTLY)!
Finally, PLEASE remember this.....Most problems are solved by pressing the "down" button--especially when around the computers and eggs. For eggs, jump up and pound on the down button until you get inside of them.

Glad to hear you figured it out, I couldn't remember for the life of me.
I've just found the normal ending, I'll be sure to try and get the other ones when I find the time.

Trogdor is awesome. Did you know you can enter the old Konami code and get 30 lives?

You know what, pjalne? I found the walkthrough for the game on the internet... So, there's no need to waste precious brainpower on figuring out how to get it to end properly.....I forgot something else....When or if you come across the prof. in the Labrynth, DON'T talk to him...... Finally, even though it seems stupid, make a habit of examining EVERYTHING in a room--even those big pots sitting on the floor... --JFB

Playing Champions: Return to arms nowadays. I liked the fact that you can take the characters you made in Champions of Norrath and continue working on those. There were even new skills available. (And a wonderbra with spiky shoulderpads for my female barbarian. ;D )
