I just saw a recording of a cast panel session from some Comic Con, and realized I hadn't done a thread on this movie.
So people, watch the Firefly show if you haven't already, so you're ready to watch the movie when it comes out in Semptember. You know, so it makes money and Whedon can make more Firefly stuff.

Oops, should have been a bit more clear. Joss Whedon created a show called Firefly, but it cancelled really quick. Which is a shame, because it was really good. He's been given a chance to resurrect the concept by making a movie, and it looks really promising.
The show was a sci-fi series with a western motif. It may sound a bit silly, but it's actually a pretty sound universe. The premise is that mankind has started colonising space (hence to frontier thematics borrowed from western movies), and the further you travel away from the core planets (it's been hinted that Earth is gone), the more lawless people get. The main characters are the crew of a ship called Firefly, and they're all a bunch of smugglers and crooks. But, you know, heart of gold and all that.

Yup. Actually that't about the only place I'm sure it will be released. Well, I've heard an English release date, but that's it. It all depends on how much the studio will want to push it.
It probably won't be shown here in Norway, since practically no science fiction movies except Star Wars are given a cinema release. Well, Starship Troopers did, and I think maybe one of the Star Trek movies. No, wait, it was pulled.

Oh man, I used to love Bravestar. There was only one tape of episodes available, though, and about three comic books. It just didn't take over here, I guess.
