Well, now I'm thankful for buying a PS2 instead of that mobile phone, after all. No, I'm not JUST talking about Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I'm talking about something far bigger and at least as good! A sequel to Tim Burton's "A Nightmare Before Christmas"(You should definately check out the trailer regardless)

While I never saw Jack as that kind of action hero, the thought of being able to move freely in the world Burton and Selick created sounds awesome. The models look great too, though I wish they'd try to keep the jerky motions from the movie. I'm pretty sceptical when it comes to the Britney's Dance Beat thing at the end of the in-game clip, though. Do you know if any of the original voice talent are involved? I suppose Elfman won't be anywhere to be found, but surely Chris Sarandon, Cathy O'Hara or that fat guy from Beetlejuice can't be wading in offers these days. Anyway, keep your PS2 ready the next time I'm dropping by your island. Or better yet, leave the console at your sister's.

Sorry, Per, I sold my PS2 ages back - filching a mate's for this, though. According to this place the voice casting is as following: Steve Amerson Dee Bradley Baker Sherwood Ball (Mummy, Vampire in the original) Susanne Blakeslee Corey Burton Randy Crenshaw (Mr. Hyde, Behemoth and Vampire in the original) Debi Durst (Corpse Kid, Corpse Mom, Small Witch from the Original) Jess Harnell Kerry Katz (Man Under the Stairs, Vampire and Corpse Father in the original) Bruce Lanoil Ken Page (Oogie Boogie's voice in the original - Whee!) Rob Paulsen Paul Reubens (Lock's voice in the original) Chriss Sarandon (Jack Skellington's voice in the Original - woohoo!) Glenn Shadix (The Mayor's voice in the original - AKA "that fat one in Beetle Juice") Kath Soucie I can't find if old Oingo Boingo will attend, but he's busy with a lot of projects regarding Tim Burton's works. (At the moment, he's working with Burton on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Corpse Bride - and Spiderman 3, on the side ) and I've heard rumours in the game community that his compositions will be featured. Can't say if there's any substance in them, though. (Sadly, William Hickey, much loved as Dr. Finklestein, died in '97 and is rather unlikely to make an reappearance. Catherine O'Hara, AKA Sally, is currently working on other projects, for example Jim Carrey's new movie Lemony Snicket's "A Series Of Unfortunate Events, and is not featured at the time being.

WFT, I thought he died in Fight Club. No, man - you're thinking about Meat Loaf who played the CHARACTER Rob "Bob" Paulsen, who died in the movie. (The character, that is) Either that or you're messing with me. I suck at taking references/irony over the intarweb.

Yeah, I'm just horsing around. By the way, we should round up Gunhild and Oyvind and go see a movie this Christmas like we did when Two Towers came out. Too bad there aren't any LotR movies left. Won't be a proper Christmas without.

Whoa, a Nightmare Before Christmas game??? GOTTA HAVE THAT! I love that movie. The main reason I got Kingdom Hearts was for the Nightmare world. I still haven't even played it yet.

I'd probably have bought Kingdom Hearts too if I had the PS2. And only for that level.
By the way, there's a Nightmare 'sequel' on the way in case you guys didn't know. It's completely unrelated storywise, but Burton and DeNovi are producing and Selick is directing. I think Johnny Depp is on the voice cast list. It's called Corpse Bride.
How you been, Wes?

WFT, I thought he died in Fight Club. That was my first response when I started seeing his name in voice acting credits. He's the big feller from that Time Squad cartoon, and he does a million other voices. Jess Harnell is also the voice of Wakko from the Animaniacs, and Kath Soucie is everyone's mom - Dexter, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, everyone these days. I'd bet it's gonna be Paulson on Oogie Boogie and Soucie on Sally Ragdoll.

Rob Paulsen's gotten around in the voice-acting world, yeah. He did the voices of Yakko and Pinky on Animaniacs, and also recently, the ninja in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, plus a butt-load of other credits I don't have the energy to list.

Was Maurice LaMarche Brain? Hearing Brain is just like hearing LaMarche's Orson Welles from The Critic.
